Dialysis can be done in one of 3 ways:
As kidney disease worsens over the years, at around 15% of kidney function or less, you develop severe symptoms of kidney disease. Including SOB, leg swelling, weakness, fatigue, poor appetite, electrolyte imbalances. At that point your doctor will offer dialysis.
