Kidney Scams Pray on Kidney Disease (CKD) with Fake Cures

As a kidney patient, you are certain to run across many products promising to cure kidney problems, fully repair your kidneys, and to quickly boost kidney function.  Most of these scams are sold as herbal solutions and take small nuggets of real data and manipulate it to appear as if this combination they provide may help kidney patients.  Their website may even include glowing testimonials from a list of made-up people, often using stock photos or stolen images from social media sites to represent these fictitious people.

The truth is there IS NO CURE for kidney disease.  There is NO WAY to repair your kidneys.  You CAN NOT undo the physical damage.  What you CAN DO is live a healthy lifestyle and eat a balanced diet based on your labs.  You can make changes that MAY help reduce the burden on your kidneys.  This MAY result in improved kidney function.  Randomly taking magic pills that claim to do the impossible WILL NOT improve your health and may actually accelerate further kidney damage, leading to kidney failure.
